Hi team,
It is nice to know you here. My customer us this device in below application, VIN=5V, Vo=3.3V. The output capacitor will be higher than 500uF, what the adverse impact? As our datasheet claimed no more than 150uF. My customer wants to add an output capacitor to 1200uF, this will cause our device cannot start up.
- What is the effect of the output capacitor to the control loop?
- Please provide some materials for me to understand. Thanks.
"The output capacitor value can range from 22 µF up to more than 150 µF. The recommended typical output capacitor value is 22µF. Values over 150 µF may be possible with a reduced load during startup in order to avoid triggering the Hiccup short circuit protection. "
