TPS62813-Q1: Datasheet questions

Part Number: TPS62813-Q1

Hi Expert,

My customer asks some questions for TPS62813-Q1 operation.

Could you please support below items?

1, Could you please provide the deviation range for SS function?

2, TPS6281320-Q1 can be worked SS function at PFM mode?

3, PG pin can be left Open if the customer doesn't need PG function?

4, The datasheet mentions that 0.47uH inductor should be selected.

But, the customer wants to know how much ripple is required for TPS62813-Q1?

5, There are 3 comp setting.  Which setting is the best selection at first evaluation?

6, What does MHz.kohm mean, for equation of Rcf calculation?

7, TPS62813-Q1 has to generate gate voltage for high side FET to keep 100% duty?

8, when output discharge is working, is Low side FET tuned on?

9, Could you please provide the equation how to calculate Cff value?

Best Regards,

Yuki

  • Hi Yuki,

I think your questions are all answered in the datasheet. You may need to download the latest version. Please check the functional descriptions and the applications section for details. Parameters and tolerances you can find in the electrical characteristics table.

Anyway, here are some short answers to your questions:

    1. see datasheet page 14 section 9.3.4
    2. PFM has its own switching frequency defined by line and load conditions, datasheet page 14, section 9.4.2
    3. see datasheet page 4, table pin functions
    4. see datasheet page 5, section 7.3 there is a value range for the inductor, no ripple requirement
    5. datasheet page 13 table 3 and 4 define what to use, there is a clear recommendation, nothing to try out
    6. this defines the units for the parameters in the equation
    7. of course, otherwise it would not work
    8. if the device is disabled all power FETS are off, datasheet page 12 section 9.3.1
    9. there is nothing to calculate, just follow the recommendation in the datasheet, table 7 and use 10pF

    Best regards,

    Juergen
