TPL7407L: Maximum rating on TPL7407LPW

Part Number: TPL7407L

Hi,

Based on the datasheet, OUT1 ~ 7 is rated absolute max of 42V and 600mA drain current. May I know if there is any durtaion related to these conditions?Would a few microsecond of hitting these values be considered violation the max rating of the device?

Thanks,

Christina

  • Hi Christina,

Thanks for reaching out on E2E!

As long as you are below the absolute maximum ratings specified on page 3 of the datasheet, you should be fine. If the channel were to hit the maximum rating for a few microseconds, there isn't enough time for the thermal junction of the FET to rise, which would be the main reason that the device could potentially fail. Therefore, there shouldn't be any issue.

    Thanks,

    Arthur Huang
