UCD3138: Questions of unused pins

Part Number: UCD3138

Hello Guys,

what should I do if those unused pins , set input/output or pull up/down?

Please also give me some reasons for this, many thanks.

  • Hi Steven,

Unused analog inputs should be connected to "signal ground".

The digital pins better be set as inputs and connect to ground, or at least be configured as output and kept low.

The main reason for this is that high impedance floating pins(inputs) can conduct external noise into the internal circuitry of the chip.

In some rare cases this may even effect the current consumption of the chip.

    Regards,
