LM5165: Inverting Buck Boost with COT control and stability

Part Number: LM5165

I would like to use your LM5165 as an Inverting Buck Boost IBB (-12V/50mA out from an input +24V). I read many of your application notes and examples regarding using buck converters in IBB configurations but in all of them the converters have a peak current mode control. The LM5165 uses instead a COT control.

My question:

is it appropriate to use the LM5165 with COT control in IBB applications? If yes, could the COT control have instability problems/what should I care during the design to avoid stability problems?

Thank you very much

Best regards
