BQ24210: RT1 calculation

Part Number: BQ24210

Hello,

I have a question related to TR1 calculation.
On the datasheet, I can read V45C = 18.6 [%VTSB] and VTSB = 2.2V
So I think that V45C = 2.2*0.186 = 0.4092V

In the "Detailed Design Procedure" part, I understand that V45C = 0.186V and not 0.4092V

Can I have a explanation about this difference ? Maybe I missed something abouts units..;  Where I'm wrong ?

Regards,

Dams

  • Hi Dams

The right answer is 21.5k ohms for RT1.  Detailed Design Procedure is correct.

Equation 3 does not describe V45C well and how to apply it to the equation. Electrical specification table show V45C as 18.6%  and the decimal value (0.186) is used.

Will look at updating description of equation 3.
