Reliability
MTBF = Meantime between failures: = total device test hours / failures
FIT: Failures-in-Time:
The number of failures per 109 device-hours
Note that MTBF = 109 h / FIT
For more details see ti.com Reliability terminology
Btw. the MTBF and FIT data provided by TI is based on normalized data 1000 h at 125°C ambient.
To calculate the MTBF for your application, you can derate that using the link below.
There is a derating tool on TI.com called Temperature change FIT that you can used.
