BQ24195: Can BQ24195 be used as a standalone?

Hi TI team,

My customer designed BQ24195. They are testing standalone. (No host)

When VBUS = 12V input (no load), switching noise and high frequency noise of VSYS output are generated.

Please review the circuit diagram for any problems.

How to set the charging port in the default mode when I2C is not activated.

Kim,

With battery charging enabled at POR (REG01[5:4] = 01), the bq24195L, bq24195 can complete a charging cycle without host involvement with default charging parameters.

If D+/D- pins are short, the input will be detected as charging port.

If there is no host to communicate with BQ24195, the register value of BQ24195 is default. it is right?

If yes, when using standalone, is the fast charging current 2.048A correct?

Yes, default register values apply when no host. The default fast charge current is 2.048A.
