TPS92692: Gcs:Current sense amplifier gain

Hello,

I have the question about LED current accuracy.

The data sheet says Better than ± 4% LED Current Accuracy,
Gcs in the electrical characteristics table has only a TYP value of 14 and does not have a MIN/MAX value.
I think that the current accuracy is determined by the variation in this value. Is this variation less than ±4%?
Please show the reference value of MIN/MAX value.

We do not measure the gain Gcs separately but the gain error is rolled in with the total offset measurement of V(csp-csn) current sense threshold.

Do you mean actual current accuracy is ±4% within the range of Viadj from 140mV to 2.25V?

Hi Atsushi,

The 4% is just a general statement for the tolerance of the part. The tolerance of the Rcs also adds into the error. For example if you use 10% part then that will add into the error of the current. We only guarantee what is given in the Electrical Characteristic table in section 7.5.

So if, for example, the RCS tolerance is 1%,
What is the current accuracy within the range of Viadj from 140mV to 2.25V?

Hi Atsushi,

It will be about 5%. We only guarantee the spec's in the electrical characteristic of the data sheet.
