Hi
I want to know the difference with ACOC, ACX, ACOC and ACx are over current protection, the datasheet did not show the difference.
Thanks

Hi Star,
ACOC is an input overcurrent protection comparator measuring input current across the sense resistor between ACx pins.
Hi, Star,
As shown in the table, the differences are:
ACOC has deglitch time, it is related to ILIM2 and can be enabled/disabled by setting.
ACX is a fixed protection which is instantaneous and enforced all the time. Two level of settings are possible.
Both will provide adapter enhanced over current protection. ACOC allows over-load capability, while ACX provides fast-acting protection.
Hi Tiger,
Thanks for your reply.
I have one question more.
I tried to set ACOC threshold over 180mV and set ACX to 150mV, then increase the load current. I couldn't observed the protection when the voltage between ACP-ACN reaches 150mV. Till it reaches 180mV the ACOC was in effect.
So I am a little confused about how to make ACX work.
Hi Tiger,
Is it the same protected behavior between ACOC and ACX?
If the input current doesn't reach ACOC threshold, the ACX function will be disabled. Do I understan correctly?
ACOC and ACX are two independent protections. I don't quite understand how you test them. Could you describe in more details?
