LM5175: Is it possible to get a variable voltage output

I am working on a project where the input power is a battery source. I need to have a variable voltage output to power a ZVS induction heating circuit. Temperature control of the induction heating is done by controlling the input voltage. Is this possible with the LT5175?

Hello Jeff,

You want to control the output voltage of the LM5175, e.g. by influencing the FB pin voltage, I think. Yes, this is possible, see here: https://e2e.ti.com/blogs_/b/powerhouse/archive/2020/02/18/adjusting-vout-in-usb-type-c-and-wireless-charging-applications-part-2

I expect that the temperature control of your heating circuit is a relatively slow changing signal, so I would recommend to keep the compensation loop at low frequencies for having it stable over the full output voltage range.
