Hi support team,

TPS650861 does not have a VREF power supply for DDR4.
TPS650861 has VDDQ and VTT.
I heard that some people generate VREF by dividing VDDQ by resistance.
I think it is more appropriate to use the DDR dedicated IC.
Is it appropriate to use TPS51200 in the latter stage of TPS650861?

Hi Dice,

Typically VREF current is very small, it is only a few uA for each DIMM chip.

It should be fine to use resistor divider for VREF.

Thank you for your reply.

If the resistor divider does not give sufficient accuracy, I consider a dedicated IC such as the TPS51200.

The 0.5% or 0.1% tolerance resistor should be accurate enough.
