TPS40210: Oscillator Range

Hello,

The datasheet EC is very confusing oscillator range shows 1Mhz, next line frequency is limited to 340Khz maximum.

Is there some reason the oscillator can not be configured for 850Khz?

    If only test oscillator frequency please add word Typical Recommended frequency or note (2) Example.

    Hi GI,

    Sorry for the delay due to US holidays.  Thank you for posting.  The first line is the recommended oscillator frequency range. You should choose a switching frequency in between.

    The second line is, when you set RRC=182k and CRC=330pF, the typical frequency is 300kHz, but the actual frequency may be at any value between 260kHz and 340kHz, due to temperature variation and the IC process tolerances. 

    Yes you can set 850kHz. Please refer to datasheet's Figure 1 and Equation (14).
