Part Number: LM5060
Team,
A customer is using LM5060 as a high side switch, with maximum operating voltage as 55V. However, they have a test for transients that requires the Vin to be 70V for ~40ms, while the device is enabled. The data sheet however mentions the absolute max rating for Vin = 75V only when device is disabled. Can you please clarify why this is so and can they use this device in their application?
Hi Taru,
We have to use the device up to 65V with continuous operation and set OVP just above that to make sure it is turned OFF for voltages beyond 65V.For higher transient support, please configure the device as per the TIDA https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tiduc41a/tiduc41a.pdf or use latest device LM74800-Q1
Best Regards, Rakesh
