TPS6521825: Combined mode for higher output current

Hi, I wonder if one can combine e.g. DCDC1 and DCDC2 of TPS6521825 to one rail to get higher output current.

    Unfortunately no, DCDC1/2 on the TPS6521825 can be combined to get higher current.

    What do you intend to power with the TPS6521825? This version of the device was created specifically for i.MX 8M Mini/Nano and the TPS6521825 is used in conjunction with the LP8733 (the LP873347 variant, specifically) to provide power to the processor, as defined in TIDA-050038.

    Sorry, I meant TPS6521815 which I found on ti.com/diypmics, but I fear there it is the same. I want to power a FoFi FPGA and some periphery around it.

    Yes, the response is the same for TPS6521815: None of the power rails can be combined.

    Did you also see the TPS650861 when you were looking at the DIY PMICs? This device has 3 buck controllers and 3 buck converters, as well as some LDOs and load switches, and it is fully programmable by OTP memory, which makes the TPS650861 the best candidate for powering complex FPGA designs with higher power requirements. It might be a little overkill, but un-used buck controllers (BUCK2 un-used, for example) are not very wasteful because the external FETs do not need to be populated.
