UCC28051: Vcomp load

Hi team,

My customer would like to measure gM.

I would like to know the measurement method.

There is a description of gM; min.60uS / typ.90uS / max.130uS in the data sheet.

The conditions are Ta=25℃ and Vcomp=3.5V.What is the load on Vcomp?

Is the calculation method of gM correct?

   gM = (2.5V－Vo_sns) / (Vcomp / load)

    Hi Kenji:

    sorry for the delay response.

    gM=delta I /Delta V. So the formula you offer should not be correct.

    for the test method and the Vcomp load, since the datasheet test condition is at Vcomp=3.5V, I would suggest you can try :

    load on comp is 40kohm, and adjust the vo-sns to see whether you can test it.

    if this is a transconductance amplifier, I believe you can test it in this method.

    But in UCC28051, please make sure you test this method at the condition that controller do not trigger any protection.
