TPS63802: Vin=1.3V~3.9V base on the pulse current(1mA => 100mA)

Dear Sir,

The Li-SOCL2 battery is our DC power supply but the voltage have big variation base on the pulse current.

The attach 2 photo is my measured results of electrical loader,( High: 100mA/ 1s; Low 1mA/ 10s).

You can look the voltage have voltage drop from 1.3V~3.8V and 1st pulse have 1ms voltage to 1.3V.

I need a Vout=3.0V, Does the TPS63802 meet it??

Or, do you have other suggestions??

Hi Gordon,

How thick is the input cable you use? If the impedance of your cable is too large it will cause a voltage drop. And please also try to use a DC power supply as input source with appropriate input current limit value.

Dear Sir,

The current is only 100mA and the cable is a standard DC power cable.

The voltage drop is Li-SOCL2 characteristic at -40c.

Hi Gordon,

The battery voltage is weird, it has a voltage drop even before load step. You can use a DC voltage supply to replace the battery and repeat the experiment. By checking output voltage we can know the issue is in battery or TPS63802. And TPS63802 can absolutely support your working condition if working normally.

Hi Gordon,

Do you mean voltage drop of Vin? There are line transient waveforms in datasheet to refer.
