Good day. I hope you are well.

Our customer wants to use the UCC28070 and they have a question about their design. I copied their inquiry below.

"My pfc is about 6KW, is that right to set the current sense transformer between MOSFET to GND to make the PCB layout simfily? the ratio is 1:200."

HIi Cedrick,

it is recommended to place the PFC current sense transofrmer between the mosfet Drain and the connection point of PFC inductor and Diode.

that is because when placed between mosfet and gnd, then during mosfet on and off transient, there is a risk that Mosfet GS couples noise from the current sense transformer.
