Hi ,
Please recommend a PMIC for RTL8197FS processor. below is the detail requirement, thanks.
5V input.
1. 3.3v 500mA DCDCx2
2.1.8v 500mA DCDCx1
3. 1.12v 500mA DCDCx1
4. 1.12v 500mA LDO x1

Yue,
Please help me make sure I understand your needs correctly: the system requires 2x DC-DC converters that both generate 3.3V at up to 500mA load? Can you use 1x DC-DC converter to generate 3.3V at up to 1A load?
And you need both a DC-DC converter and an LDO that generate 1.12V at up to 500mA load?
Are the numbers in your list the order of the power-on sequence?
My recommendation if you want to use the TPS65216 would be to consider the following settings for each rail:
The default voltage for DCDC1/2 is 1.1V, and this can be changed to 1.12V by modifying the DCDCx[5..0] bits in the 0x16 and 0x17 registers to 0x1B for 1.12V
DCDC3 will generate 1.8V automatically when RSEL=31.6kOhms from DC34_SEL pin to GND is used, and DCDC4 generates 3.3V also.
LDO1 will generate 1.8V by default, and this can be changed to 1.8V by modifying the LDO1[5..0] bits in the 0x1B register to 0x3D for 3.3V
The automatic sequencing is set by the SEQ1-7 registers, and these can also be modified as needed.
In order to make these changes permanent, the EEPROM of TPS65216 samples will need to re-programmed for prototyping. Let us know if this solution sounds like it will work, and we can help you coordinate the re-programming of the device for prototyping and production.
