  • Hello,

    1.  The main function of D+/D- is to identify an adapter as a standard or non-standard USB adapter. Doing this configures the input current limit according to what the maximum power the adapter should be able to deliver. This is discussed in section 9.3.3.3.1 of the datasheet.

    2. . If an adapter is detected as unknown, the input current limit is set at 0.5 A.This discussed on section 9.3.3.3.1 of the datasheet. If you overwrite the input current limit set by D+/D- beyond what the adapter can supply, you run the risk of crashing the adapter.

    3. All the possible I2C configurations are described in section 9.7 of the datasheet. Key features include, but are not limited to programmable input current limit, VINDPM, BATFET control, CE, and OTG.

    4. Charge current is programmed on REG00[4:0] from 100mA to 3.2A as described in section 9.7.1 of the datasheet. Termination current is programmed on REG03[3:0] as described in section 9.7.4 of the datasheet.

         Thanks,

    Ricardo
