BQ28Z610EVM-532: BQ28Z610 how to write srec

Part Number: BQ28Z610EVM-532
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ28Z610, BQSTUDIO, EV2400

Hi.

A Learning Cycle has been acquired in accordance with SLUA777.
Please answer the following questions.

1. The set value is determined according to SLUA777.
Please tell me how to reflect the setting value to another board

2. The following is described in SLUA777. Does this mean that the accuracy is reduced but the IT STATUS parameter can be operated without adjustment?
If the method does not require parameter adjustment, please provide details.
(The following content is excerpted from 4.2.1)
• An alternative method before starting this initial discharge would be to make sure impedance track is disabled. The GAUGE_EN flag of the manufacturing status register would be cleared if impedance track is disabled. If the GAUGE_EN flag is set, clear it by sending command 0x21 or clicking the GAUGE_EN button in the command window. This is different from earlier gauges in that IT enable command can be toggled on and off.In earlier gauges, once IT is enabled, it can never be disabled via command.Disabling impedance track prevents resistance updates from occurring during this initial discharge.

Hope to hear from you soon!

[And]I don't quite understand your question.  I need more detailed explanations.

[Andy] No. All the necessary configurations should be done, no matter which method is used.

    2. Does it mean that BQ28Z610 cannot be used other than by using Learning Cycle?

    1. Please tell me how to write srec data created in Learning Cycle to another board

The easiest way is to use bqStudio to program your srec file to another board.

    2. Does it mean that BQ28Z610 cannot be used other than by using Learning Cycle?

I don't understand your question.  Could you explain your question clearly?

  • 1. Could you tell me how to write in mass production?
(EV2400 cannot be used in the factory)
    The structure is as follows.
PC ⇒ write to CPU on board ⇒ write to BQ28Z610
Please tell me the programming contents for BQ28Z610.

    2. Is there a way to use it without using the Impedance Track function?

  • 1. Could you tell me how to write in mass production?

[Andy] You can create a bq.fs file in the bqStudio and follow the app note below to program the bq.fs file to program a device.

    2. Is there a way to use it without using the Impedance Track function?

[Andy]  BQ28z610 is an Impedance Track based gauge.  If you don't want to make sue of  Impedance Track, bq28z610 is not a device you should choose.
