LMR33630-Q1: Pin out questions

Hi team,

This is Roy who is FAE in Taiwan.I would like to ask the IC level question. I understand we have two wide Vin buck solution which called LM614xx-Q1 and LMR336x0-Q1.(Spread spectrum and non spread spectrum)

I use LM61435-Q1 and LMR33630-Q1 to have a comparison. I have no idea why don't we use the same pin out for these two devices. I mean that customer could use non-spread spectrum solution first and when they couldn't pass the EMI verfication and they could replace LMR series with LM series. 

These could be achieved flexible design. Could you let me know why you use the different pin out? Any reason?

    Thanks for sharing your grievances.

    Please keep in-mind, we try our best to balance performance and ease of use.

    Often pinout is further optimized as opportunity is seen in some cases.

    In addition, LM61435-Q1 comes in spread spectrum and non-spread spectrum variant, as per Device Comarison Table in section 5 in the datasheet.

    Lasty, if customer would like to have only single orderable LM62440-Q1 spread spectrum can be configured via mode pin. If spread spectrum would like to be turned for LM61435-Q1 device, device can be sync or customer can choose between two orderables.
