Hi Experts,
Our customer wants to check if it is OK for TPS53353 Mode pin connected to VREG through a resistor following Table 3 RMODE values, does it will influence the soft-start time? Please help to check customer's schematic as below:

jacky,
I believe that the mode pin causes FCCM after PGOOD goes high, so for SS time, the TPS53353 is in DCM. If the MODE pin is connected to VREG instead of PGOOD it will be in FCCM during SS time as well. I am waiting for confirmation on this but I am 99% sure about this.
Hi John,
Thanks a lot for the replay. So do you mean that if the MODE pin is connected to VREG, there is no SS time effective as it is always in FCCM?
Jacky,
There is still SS time, but during the slow start time, the converter will operate in FCCM is the mode pin is connected to VREG.
