TDA4VM: MATHLIB for C7x

Part Number: TDA4VM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MATHLIB

Hi

Where can I get the MATHLIB for C7x?

I can only find it for C6x.

Thanks and Best regards,

Tsurumoto.

  • Hi

    Do you have any update?

  • Hi Tsurumoto-san,

We don't have MATHLIB developed for C7x.

    Thanks,
    With Regards,

    Pramod

  • Hi Pramod

    Ok, I understood.

    - Do we have a plan to develop it in the future?

    - What should I do for now? Do I need to use the standard C library math.h?
Is there a performance loss compared to proprietary ones?

    Thanks and Best regards,

    Tsurumoto.

  • Hi Pramod

    Do you have any feedback?

  • HI Tsurumoto-san,

As of now we don't have plan and you can use standard C library or optimize some specific functions  on C7x on your own if possible.

Since we have not developed MATHLIB on C7x, we don't have a comparison point with a (potential) proprietary library.

With deep learning being main stream computation block, we started focusing on optimizing DL operators

May I ask you any key functions which you are looking for from MATHLIB? And may be the same question for other libraries like DSPLIB if you have been using.

We shall update you if there is any plan in future for MATHLIB.

    Thanks,
    With Regards,
    Pramod
