TDA4VM: How to share DSI output between RTOS and HLOS(Linux)

Dear TI,

In my case, my Linux application should render data through DSI output. But as far as you know, MIPI DSI is not supported on Linux.

So I would like to share some MIPI output working on RTOS to Linux.

But I'm not sure if this is possible.

Could you let me know whether this is possible or not?

Please let me know if you have good idea for sharing DSI ouput from RTOS to Linux.

Hi Jaewook,

One possible way is to use OpenVX display node to display over DSI output. You could send your buffer to display node and can get it send over DSI format.

I found sample source in vision_apps.(vision_apps/apps/basic_demos/app_single_cam/main_linux_arm.c)

It looks similar to what you mentioned OpenVX display on linux.

Can I refer to that?

Hi Jaewook,

Yes you could refer to single camera example, the output of single camera can be redirected to DSI output.
