The requirements in the document are different from the embedded picture. It doesn't talk about VLAN forwarding.

Which configuration is required ?

1. VID x on Port 4 and VID y on Port 5 to go to A72

2. Packets should be received with their VID intact.

Please find 3 patches which add a static VLAN (70) configuration for A72. (BC, MC and directed Unicast) Packets with VLAN of 70 are forwarded to the host as seen from statistics.

Which version of SDK is your patch modified on? I compared the source code of 7.2 and 7.3 versions, which seems to be inconsistent with patch.

Patch is written for SDK 7.3, but the changes are really small and can be ported to 7.2 as well.

Thanks for the patch (I actually only referenced VLAN-related configurations and did not make any changes to Policer's configuration).

The basic functionality is now implemented, but there are still some problems in the integration test:

1) the original network port (eth0) without VlanID cannot ping with each other.

2) The VlanID port on A72 must be pinging to the outside before it can be connected.

These two problems need help to solve again.

I didn't understand the problem. Are you saying that Linux CPSW 9G interface cannot ping another device on the network ? This should work out of the box. What exactly is the issue here ? Are packets not being received on Host port without VLAN ? Can you provide more details.

This is a known issue, Broadcast frames (ARP) cannot reach A72 because they have to be duplicated on the Host port and this feature will only be supported in SDK 8.0. The workaround is to add a static entry in the ARP table

As shown in the figure, the port (eth0) on A72 without VlanID cannot be ping-connected with the outside world (the red channel in the figure is blocked). It is OK to have VlanID 2,4. we need to resolve the problem of network connectivity without vlanID (eth0).

Can you break down the problem with statistics ?

1. So what happens when packets from R-MCU reach port 6, are they forwarded to Host ?

2. What about the other way ? Are packets from A72 reaching the external interface ?

3. Do you have any ALE configuration set for Port 6 ? Can you clear that and try ?

Please dump statistics using this script and then paste here.

PS : Disable Port 5 so we only see traffic from Port 6.
