AM6442: Ethernet Switch Capability

The AM64x has two Ethernet Switch options (PRU/ICSSG and CPSW3G). In the context of Ethernet/IP protocol support:

Is IEEE-1588 "transparent clock mode" supported?
Is 802.1AB supported?
Is DLR supported?

Basically I'm looking to fill-out the following table:

	CPSW3G (Y/N)	ICSSG (Y/N)
1588 transparent clocking
802.1AB
DLR

...and any clarifying comments as needed...

See below for specific answers, for background we have the two hardware blocks implementing Ethernet MACs and cut-thru switching based on IEEE802.1Q-2018. On software we have the full stack offering based on ICSS and R5 freeRTOS with lwIP stack which includes the ODVA specified EtherNet/IP adapter support. And we have standard Ethernet support on both CPSW3G and ICSSG in Linux and freeRTOS with lwIP stack. One can implement EtherNet/IP on any one of these, TI offers an implementation on ICSS.

HW support yes on both. HW support yes on both. IEEE802.1AB is the standard that defines LLDP. Looks like LLDP or IEEE802.1AB is not yet TI full industrial stack offering for EtherNet/IP adapter on ICSSG/R5, plan is to add support in 1H2022. Linux lldpd https://github.com/lldpd/lldpd is software implementation that should work over both CPSW3G and ICSSG based Ethernet MACs. This SW is included in the SDK by default, snmpd is enabled by default in Linux SDK.
