TDA4VM: Camera time synchronization

Hi experts,

We connect 4 cameras to max96712 deserializes. We want to control the camera use an external trigger signal. There is a gps device on board. The pps signal connected to pin G27(MCU_CPTS0_TS_SYNC).

U2 (SYNC0_OUT) is connected to max96712 for sync .

Can we use this pin (U2) for time sync? Is there any software support in the SDK?

Hi Liu,

But how do you configure it to generate periodic sync signals? Also is this pin connected to deserializer to forward sync signal to sensor?

Hi Brijesh,

Thin pin connected to deserializer can forward sync signal to senIsor.

I want to use the GPS pps signal as the sync source, and pin SYNC0_OUT as the sync out signal to max96712. In TDA4 TRM 11.3.2 , it says Time Sync Routers can send one sync signal to multiple recipients.TSR signals can even be routed to processor pins if the sync signal also needs to be received by a device external to the processor.

Hi lemon liu,

Not sure how timer sync router can generate periodic events at fixed interval, but it can, then you could use it as sync input to the sensor.
