Hi experts,
I found several different reset methods in TRM: Power-On Reset, Warm Reset, Cold Reset, Global Soft Reset...
What's the difference between them? What will they reset respectively?
Thanks,
Shukai
Hi Shukai,
Please reference TRM Section 5.3.2 Reset Sources. Table 5-2212, gives a good definition of the Reset Source, and Type column along with the sequence sublinks, provide additional detail.
Regarding "Global Soft Reset" which section of the TRM is being referenced?

Hi KB,
TRM Section 12.11.2.5 ESM Registers , ESM_SFT_RST register mentioned Global Soft Reset.
Thanks,
Shukai
Thanks Shukai,
The Global Soft Reset documented in the ESM section of the TRM, deals with the ESM module only. The ESM_SFT_RST KEY, can be used to clear all the raw status bits and all enable bits in the ESM module, putting the error pin to the ESM_IDLE.
Section 12.11.2.4.3 ESM Error Pin Output, goes over the flow chart.
Keep in mind that:
