SK-TDA4VM: While generating the artifacts for the SSD-MobileNetV2-FPN model, the kernel is dying

Hello Guys,

I am trying to generate artifacts for a custom SSD-MobileNet-FPN-320x320 model generated using Tensorflow object detection API. I am using the 'custom-model-tfl' notebook given in the TI Edge AI, but during the delegation process, the kernel is dying. I check the log files but couldn't gather too much information from there.

Can you please help me out in interpreting what's going wrong here?

Hi Prabal,

Can you share the model in a similar manner the previous one was shared?

We have support for tflite fpn models and have some models in our model-zoo as well(github.com/.../od-2080_tflitert_coco_tf2-models_ssd_mobilenet_v2_fpnlite_320x320_coco17_tpu-8_tflite.tar.gz.link), so I want to understand what is different in the topology of this model compared to the other models.

Hi Anand!

I just shared the model on the previous platform. I did visualize the model you shared with my model using Netron and they almost look identical with very subtle changes. But still the script was erroring out. Just for your information, I used Tensorflow's latest code to build the model using their object detection API. looking forward to hearing from you.

I checked the model and the reason of failure is Pack->Reshape->Pack->Reshape combination. The model which we have in model zoo is obtained from the following tf2 models as part of tensor flow model zoo - https://github.com/tensorflow/models/blob/master/research/object_detection/g3doc/tf2_detection_zoo.md which contains Pack->Pack->Reshape layer combination as compared to Pack->Reshape->Pack->Reshape in the model exported with latest tensorflow version. We specifically check for this combination during compilation and convert it to a layer which is supported on c7x/MMA which helps run the entire model with a single subgraph.

SK-TDA4VM: While generating the artifacts for the SSD-MobileNetV2-FPN model, the kernel is dying
