TMS320C6748: Looking for help to find a DSP programming consultant

Part Number: TMS320C6748

I am the engineering manager at a sonar sensor and electronics company and we just won a contract that requires development on an existing platform with a TMS320C6748 processor.  We will be buying on the order of 3000 parts per year once the project gets to production.

My company is looking to find an individual who has specific experience with this processor or the same family of processor to help us as a consultant.  I am hoping that someone can help point me to a short path to find the person I need to help.  We are located within an hour of Boston and would prefer to get someone that lives in the area but that is not strict requirement.

I have checked the 3rd party network info on the website and did find a few choices there but a link to a larger list is referenced but not provided where I was looking.

Thanks in advance for your help and consideration on this matter.

Regards,

Mike Curran

  • Hello Mike

  • Hello Mukul,

Thank you for the suggestion and I appreciate that quick response.  I will investigate Elco Solutions for sure but I do have some concerns that they are not based in the US as the work being done is for the US government.  I will check into it but I am hoping to get more than just one recommendation if possible and find one that is in the US also.  I am looking to interview several potential consultants as we have had mixed results in the past with consultants and completely remote work has been the cause of communication issues.

Can you provide me with a few more recommendations and/or a bigger list of potential companies to work with??

I will follow up with Elco Solutions as well.

    Regards,

    Mike

  • Hi Mike, yes, we (Embedded Advantage) are partnered with Elco Solutions in Germany. They have a solid track record with working and communicating with Tier-1 automotive/industrial/IoT customers in Europe and in the U.S. They are intimately familiar with the 6748 and can help you write code for your application, protocols, O/S, peripheral drivers, etc. Their communications are exceptional. They always start off each relationship with a SPEC that is co-developed with them prior to starting the work. They are cost competitive and do extremely high quality coding, testing, validation. You cannot go wrong with using them. They are happy to sign NDAs, service agreements/etc to protect your IP...whatever you need to feel safe and secure collaborating with them.

You can reach me at ericw@embeddedAdvantage.com I would be happy to set up a 1hr intro call with Elco Solutions so they can introduce their services to you and then you and your team can ask ALL the questions you want about how they work with U.S.-based companies. Also, I am willing to work the contract through our U.S. company - Embedded Advantage and I can subcontract with them. Same agreements but the money is paid to an American company. I will await your contact and we can continue this conversation outside of the E2E walls.

    Thanks,

    Eric
