Correct. EtherCAT slave is only supported in RTOS or bare metal (freeRTOS, we do not use TI RTOS on newer Sitara parts). For EtherCAT slave a Linux stack does not make too much sense. EtherCAT master or controller can be and is often run in Linux, such as with our example in https://dev.ti.com/tirex/content/mcu_plus_academy_01_00_00_00/modules/ethercat.html .

Thank you for your response. For EtherCAT slave, I suppose that typical use of slave stack is to run it on AM64x-R5F core and any data from linux must be transferred to R5F (For firmware upgrade for example)
