TMDSEVM572X: How to Build the SBL in CCS Environment instead of using SDK

Hi,

We are trying to build the SBL in CCS Environment for that created a new project in CCS and added the respective include directives and library paths and files and dragged the files which are used to build the SBL/MLO into the project. The Build is happening successful but the end .out file is only of size 6KB and the one which is in the SDK is 1MB.

For this CCS project I've used the {pdk_install_dir}\pdk_am57xx_1_0_19\packages\ti\boot\sbl\makefile and {pdk_install_dir}\pdk_am57xx_1_0_19\packages\ti\boot\sbl\board\evmAM572x\build\makefile just as a reference to know what files are used to build SBL/MLO.

Could you please help us to how to build SBL in CCS Environment.

Any specific reason for building SBL from CCS rather than with the recommended process?

Hi Parth,

With the SDK we're not able to understand the SBL/MLO code flow, why we need this SBL/MLO in CCS is it is easy to understand the behavior of SBL/MLO. The customer requirements we're not fully aware off as of now, Based on customer inputs we're expecting lot changes while bringing up the board using SBL/MLO, So this SBL/MLO flow in CCS will help a lot. Please provide a way to build SBL in CCS.

Hi Sarath,

If this is required just for debugging or just to check the flow, you can check the FAQ https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1121933/faq-tda4vm-debugging-sbl-boot-in-rtos-sdk. The FAQ is meant for TDA4VM, but the idea is same, you put a while loop in the beginning and then load the symbols. From there on, you can single step.
