TDA4VM: Boot TDA with no Gel Scripts

Hi Daviel,

Can you please clarify how you are planning to load the application? Is it via SBL or the CCS? If you want to use CCS for application loading then why are you using SBL?

Through CCS, 

I wanted to use the SBL since it will also configure the SOC (unless my understanding is wrong here). Unless i can use the Gel scrips on custom boards to get them to a state where i can load binaries to the cores.

So why not load via SBL only? Is there any specific reason for choosing to load via CCS?
Also, for the custom board as well the gel scripts that comes with the CCS should work except for DDR configuration which might be different,

I want to debug and step through code in CCS.  But I am booting in no boot. If I can bring up a custom board with the gel script then that would be a solution. I am assuming that I would need to modify the DDR config scrip. would there be any other modifications?

If the requirement is just to debug using CCS, an easier way would be to put a while(1) loop in the beginning of your application and then once the application is loaded using SBL, you can load the symbol using CCS. The FAQ explains the process of debugging the SBL, but the similar procedure can also be used to single step through the application loaded by SBL.
