PROCESSOR-SDK-AM62X: is it possible to access mcu_mcan0 from a53

Part Number: PROCESSOR-SDK-AM62X

Hi Ti,

is it possible to access mcu_mcan0 from a53 side. what will be the proper way to use this interface.

  • Hi,

Currently, MCU_MCAN0 cannot be used from A53 from the standard interrupt-based driver. However, it can be used in polling mode. The team is working towards adding the support in some time.

Moreover, you can refer to the following tables on the TRM for connectivity insights.

    • Table 3-6. Connectivity Table among Initiators and Targets (Page 86)
    • Table 10-18. Interrupt Connections Summary (Page 7997)

    Regards,
    Aparna

  • for my understanding, M4 is running ti rtos, not able to load custom rtos for M4, then the question is how to verify the mcu_mcan0 ?

  • Is this query still open?

We are targeting to support MCU MCANs running in Linux/A53 , in SDK 9.x , currently slated for July time frame.
