TDA4VM-Q1: J7 EVM can not get data from camera

Hi Ti:

I have 2 J7 EVM and both boot from SD card. However，when I connect same camera to EVM on CSI port one EVM(1#) can get data from camera but the other EVM(2#) can not. Whatever use linux SDK or RTOS SDK. The situation is same using CSI0 or CSI1. So what could be wrong with this？By the way, the register 0x04504048 is switch between 0x00333307 and 0x00222207 in EVM(2#).Thanks.

Hi,

Any differences in terms of EVM? or any other difference in the setup, lane speed, polarity, data type etc?

or can you try same fusion board on the second EVM?

The EVM is same.J721EXCP01+J721EXSOMG01. First I boot from SD card in EVM 1# it is run normally then I uplug SD card and plug in EVM 2# it is can not get camera date. So I think the software is same. I try several board on EVM and I find the problem is EVM 2#(the fusion board on EVM 2 plug on EVM1# can get camera data).

Hi,

Which SDK release are you using? Can you please check it in the latest SDK8.6 release?

I use SDK8.05. I use SDK8.6 and the situation is same that EVM2# can not get camera data. I change J721EXSOMG01 of EVM. The problem follows the core board .

Can I send it to you to try it whether it can get camera date in your EVM? May be that can determine if it is a hardware failure
