I am trying to run EIP demo code on IDk board but it is not working as expected to communicate with EIP molex tool as suggested.

Hello,

More debugging leads to a point where it seems that i am not able to receive any frames.

Receive interrupt is not working.(ICSS_EMacOsRxTaskFnc not going in to the function)

whereas ICSS_EMacOsLinkTaskFnc interrupt is working fine when ethernet cable plugged and unplugged.

is there any version dependencies?

Or any initialization error?

or something else?

I have few questions.

1. Which version of Processor SDK RTOS, TI-RTOS and NDK are you using?

2. Have you made any changes to the EthernetIP example?

3. Can you check if ping is working?

Have you made any changes to the EthernetIP example?

Not a single change done to EIP example. (version PRU-ICSS-EthernetIP_Adapter_01.00.03.04)

Ping is not working.

as in am437x_app.cfg(Provided in ethernetip_adapter_AM437x_arm project ) file ICMP module is not enabled.

You need to use Processor SDK 5.1 as mentioned in https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-industrial-sw/esd/docs/indsw/ethernetIP_adapter/01_00_03/PRU_ICSS_EthernetIP.html#system-requirements

Can you check with the correct version?

I can check thats not an issue.

But i have developed my entire(switch and dual mac) application using processor_sdk_rtos_am437x_6_03_00_106.

then while porting EIP adapter to my latest SDK will again create the problem.

problem with latest sdk is that i am not able to receive the frame with EIP adapter example. rx interrupt is not working. if somehow that is solved than i would be great help.

There is one similar problem observed for Profinet also but with older version.

in this solution is not mentioned.

if solution is known in case of profinet it may work for EIP adapter as well.

Hello,

One link found which says problem can be resolved by properly loading the PRU firmware.

i have tried every way to load the PRU firmware but it does not work.

Can you provide some guidance for the same.
