AM62A7: Signals with PMIC

Part Number: AM62A7
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA4VM, SK-AM62A-LP

Hi

1. What's the usage of MMC1_SDCARD_EN to PMIC?

2. Can nRSTOUT be used as MCU_PORz with a VCC1V8_SYS pull up resister, (the same with The TDA4VM EVM )

Any documents about PTPS65931211RWERQ1 (with NVM)

Best regards

Yantao

  • Hello Yanto,

    Thank you for the query.

    1. What's the usage of MMC1_SDCARD_EN to PMIC?

Pls help me understand the schematics version you are referring.

    2. Can nRSTOUT be used as MCU_PORz with a VCC1V8_SYS pull up resister, (the same with The TDA4VM EVM )

    We have slew rate requirement.

Please refer: Table 7-4. Reset Timing Conditions.

Should be able to connect the nRSTOUT provided the slew rate requirement is considered.

Any documents about PTPS65931211RWERQ1 (with NVM)

You will have to start a new thread to reach the PMIC team. Include only the PMIC number in the title.

  • Hi Sreenivasa

    Thank you for you reply.

I am referring the SK-AM62A-LP  design files E2 version.

    Yantao

  • Hello Yanto,

    Thank you for the input.

The output of the anding logic is MMC1_SDCARD_EN and connects to the PMIC GPIO11.

GPIO11 is configured to enable LDO1 (SD card interface IO supply)

The TPS65931211-Q1 enables LDO1 when a rising edge is detected on GPIO11 after nRSTOUT is released and PMIC is in Active
    state.

    Additional info:

SD card does not have a dedicated reset pin and is reset using a power switch that resets the supply.

The Power switch is controlled by the anding logic.

The power switch is required to reset the SD card speed to default speed.

Refer below section for the supported speeds.

    7.9.5.16.2 MMC1/MMC2 - SD/SDIO Interface
