Hi,

I know this question is asked and answered but I didn't find a clear picture of what should be SW1 and SW2 switch positions to boot from SDCard and USB.

I have 3 new evl boards in total and none of them are booting from SDCard. I am sure it can't be hardware issue.

I am following https://www.ti.com/tool/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM62X#downloads to download & flash tisdk-default-image-am62xx-evm.wic.xz  — 351027 K using Balena Etcher following https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=A__AdoyIZ2jtLBUfHZNVmgFBQ__am62x-devtools__FUz-xrs__LATEST&search=am62x 

This is blocking me, Could you please suggest me what is going wrong?

    Hi Neeraj,

    The SW1 and SW2 switches are correct for SD card boot.

    Can you rename tiboot3-am62x-gp-evm.bin  as tiboot3.bin in boot partition of the SD card and give it a try?

    By default the tiboot3.bin is for HS-FS device and I am assume the boards might be GP device and that's the reason not booting up.

    I already see tiboot3.bin, do you want me to force rename and overwrite?

    You could rename the tiboot3.bin to tiboot3-hsfs.bin and then tiboot3-am62x-gp-evm.bin as tiboot3.bin

    Let me know if  you are able to boot after this change.

    Hi Suren,

    After renaming "tiboot3-am62x-gp-evm.bin as tiboot3.bin" it boots. I was not expecting this. Disappointed
