TDA4VM-Q1: How to deal with RX_ER pin in the case of RMII MAC to MAC?

As the title, how to deal with RX_RE pin if RMII is used for MAC to MAC? Connect it to ground or just float? Thanks.

Please refer to the datasheet section about the connections for the unused pins on page 152.

Hi Shreyas,

Thanks for reply. Customer needs to use this RMII for MAC to MAC, I am not sure does it mean the RMII_RX_ER pin is unused?

My understanding is the RMII will function without actively controlling the RX_ER pin. The processors input should be pulled low with resistor (range of 1K to 10K-ohms)
