For TDA4VL, the MCU only mode is still in planning phase and may come in SDK 10x.

Can you please highlight what are the requirements wrt MCU only mode in your system?

Thanks for your reply.

We’d like to achieve orderly shutdown rather than stop power directly, e2e replied before is as below,

“ there is a software sequence that can be used to shut down the device and command the PMIC to power-off the device. That scheme does not rely upon the CAN device. Maybe you could shut down most of the device by going to MCU-only mode and then issuing a command to the CAN device”

Then we consulted local FAE and e2e how to enter mcu-only mode, now we’re searching if there is any other way could achieve orderly shutdown replaced with mcu-only mode cause can hardly wait the 10x version released.

Is the below understanding correct?

So in this case, you will be monitoring the CAN signal from MCU R5F and when the activity stops you will trigger a transition from Active (full SoC powered up) to an MCU only mode.

Once you start receiving messages again on CAN connected to MCU R5F, you will trigger a transition back from MCU only to Active mode.

1. When does the full power off occur?

2. Your CAN is controlled by MCU R5F or any other core?
