CCS cloud is a more limited environment than CCS desktop. The main intent was CCS cloud was to give an easy development environment for the purposes of evaluation and basic build/debug. When more functionality is needed, it is expected to move to CCS desktop.

That said, our desired end goal for CCS cloud is to continue to add functionality until one day it is somewhat feature complete with the desktop. However, this is long down the road and there is no concrete schedule for this.

Thanks for the explanation on CCS cloud.

As for the error, I'm either getting a Gateway time-out error or API create failed. Since I didn't take a picture, I found some other tickets with the same issues:

As for what I'm doing to cause it... it either happens when I'm editing files, compiling projects, or debugging. I have tried to slow down how often I send commands, so that the server doesn't become overwhelmed, but I don't think that's helping since it still happens.

I assume you can recover from this error by refreshing the browser?

Can you also provide roughly when some of these issues occurred? It will help engineering narrow down the scope of their investigations.

I have a documented example to show how this looks.

At 4:36PM PST I was editing a file (not compiling or anything). This message appears...

I press "Reload"

It prompts me to login again. After logging in, it takes about a minute to load the page.

Then the following page appears

If I refresh the page, access is not permitted for a long time (usual an hour or two).

Eventually it shows an api error. Then if I wait longer, it shows retrieving workspace...

Then it will eventually start again.

Thank you for the details, it is very helpful. The cloud engineers are investigating and has some leads. I'll keep you posted of any updates I receive.
