TDA4VH-Q1: How to check MIPI D-PHY Skew calibration result?

Hi,

As required by MIPI D-PHY spec,

When operating above 1.5 Gbps or changing to any rate above 1.5 Gbps, an initial deskew sequence shall be transmitted before High-Speed Data Transmission in normal operation

And as mentioned in original thread, Deskew should be configurated in CSI-Tx module.

But then, how to check the Skew calibration result? It should be in CSI-Rx module: the SoC?

Update: According to MIPI_D-PHY_specification_v2-5 page 66:

During skew calibration time, high-speed skew calibration on the RX side has to finish. The TX side is not aware of the RX side completing calibration.

So there should be some registers on CSI-Rx side, means in SoC, indicate the calibration results.

Hello Keelung,

Please refer to the DRA829/TDA4VM TRM (found here) and look in J721E_registers5.pdf at the following registers' offsets to check skew calibration results:

From the TDA4VH TRM registers .xlsx, the base address for CSI-RX is 0x02A3 0000 instead of 0x0458 0000.

My apologies-- the base address is still 0x04580000 for DPHY_RX.
