AM6442: MMC0 DS (G19) signal useless ?

Part Number: AM6442
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hello,

From TRM rev G page 8526, about DS signal

"(2) Used for HS400 mode (MMCSD0 Only);"   ==> DataStrobe OK but in the previous page 8525

"12.3.5.1.2 MMCSD Not Supported Features
MMCSD0 Host Controller:

Multi-Media Card:
– 3.3 V, 3.0 V and 1.2 V
– Secure Digital Card and SDIO
– Muxing of other LVCMOS interfaces onto the MMCSD interface at the SoC level
HS400 DDR: • 1.8 V, 0-200 MHz, 8-bit bus width, 400 MBps"

I conclude that you tried to implement HS400 mode w/o success, and for now HS400 is not available.

So MMC0_DS (G19) signal is useless, but it is still present is the sysconfig tool rev1.17,

should I unselect G19 and avoid to route (ball-out) this signal to save some space in my layout ?

or will you try again to implement it in a SR3 version ?

BR

Thanks.
