I using an eCAP module as Tach input from Fan to measure RPM.
From my tests, the eCAP can measure accurate cycle time if the waveform is a square wave, but cannot measure accurate timing if it is not an exact square wave.
When it is not an exact square wave, The values of cap1~2 are shown in the figure below.(the value are very little or about half the period)
The waveforms don't seem to differ much, but the results are very different.
1. Is it difficult to capture the waveforms with ecap?
2. Is there a register worth modifying?
