Hi TI Expert,

I am trying to work around the mmcsd module and load the appimage in sd card using sd boot mode. As I am new to the SK-TDA4VM processor board, i don't know how it supports mmcsd w.r.to sd card booting.

Also my goal is to see the final output in the UART terminal(teraterm). The output print statements which I would like to see is fully coded in the MMCSD module's main.c..how do I relate this with sd boot!

I would also like to know the sysconfig selections according to the usage.

Hi Ramaseshan,

The SK-TDA4VM board does not support this as it does not have an onboard eMMC. The different boot mode settings supported on this board can be found in section 2.2.1 of the user guide: https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/spruj21

For a board with onboard eMMC, the recommendation would be to purchase J721E EVM: https://www.ti.com/tool/J721EXSOMXEVM

Hi Fabina,

I am trying to load an application image into the sdcard by following the steps given in the link below:

I could setup the uart terminal successfully..but i see the below message as this:

I am flashing using MMCSD..but I didn't know where to find the mmcsd bootloader image or how to build the same.

Also I wanted to know how to use fatfs module given in the pdk.I am unable to find much information about fatfs.

It would be great if you could provide further information and guide me thru it as am a beginner for the board.

I am trying to load a SPI , GPIO and a fatfs codes into a single main code in which they are called..I need to build and generate the appimage and load them into the SD card and see the output via an UART terminal like Teraterm for which I am following the above links.

Hi Ramaseshan,

These instructions are for RTOS PSDK. We only support Linux development across all SK boards and currently have no plans to support RTOS on any SK board. Please reference the Linux SDKs found here: https://www.ti.com/tool/PROCESSOR-SDK-J721E
