Hi,
Does AM4378 ISA Support support all of the following?
・Armv7-A
・Thumb-2 or Thumb
・TrustZone security technology
・Jazelle DBX and RCT technologies
・DSP extention
・Neon (Optional)
・Floating Point (Optional)
Excerpt from https://developer.arm.com/Processors/Cortex-A9
Is Neon, which is an option above, compatible, and does Floating Point fall under VFP? Is it correct to understand that items that are not marked as Optional are supported?
Hello Conor,
Thank you for the query.
Before i check internally, i needs some background on the use case.
Can you please add some additional details for asking these questions.

Sreenivasa
Hi Sreenivasa,
We are investigating a method to process camera images using Open CV.

Hello Conor,
Thank you.
Do you have access to the development tools supported by the AM437x or do you have some thoughts on the tools you want to use.
Regards,
Sreenivasa
Hi Sreenivasa,
In particular, we have not yet confirmed the SDK. First, I would like to confirm whether the question I asked is covered.
Regards,
Conor
Hello Conor,
Thank you.
I would believe having access to the SDK could have helped answer some of the queries you have.
Let me check internally and update you.

Hello Conor,
Please refer inputs i received from the device expert:
Does AM4378 ISA Support all of the following?
・Armv7-A (yes)
・Thumb-2 or Thumb (yes)
・TrustZone security technology (yes)
・Jazelle DBX and RCT technologies (I show support for Jazelle DBX extensions and Jazelle Java accelerator and media extensions. I don’t know what RCT is, but I assume this is supported as well
・DSP extension (No, I don’t see this supported)
・Neon (yes)
・Floating Point (yes, FPU coprocessor is supported, plus a VFPv3 hardware)
I think both FPU and VFPv3 is supported, the functional spec shows this:
-Integrated CortexA9 Neon Processing Engine (NPE) to enhance the capabilities of the FPU to include the ARM NEON Advanced SIMD (Single Instruction, Multiple Data) support for accelerated media and signal processing computation.
-Include VFPv3 hardware to support single and double-precision add, subtract, multiply, divide, multiply and accumulate and square root operations.
