TMDS64EVM: Zadig - AM64x DFU configuration.

Hi Christopher,

Do you have a physical Linux machine? If yes, can you please once try the setup there. In Linux, there is no need to install drivers so the dfu-util should be able to list the DFU devices if the setup is right.

 Also, I hope you are working with EVM board not SK & putting the board in DFU bootmode before trying out the dfu-util procedure on the host pc.

We are trying to setup Docker Containers, in a windows environment. I might be able to install a virtual machine, but I'm not really using a Linux machine and Yes, I did set the jumpers to be in DFU mode.

I am not sure if I understand why the jumpers are needed here.

This is my AM64x EVM working setup for DFU boot mode

I would like to know what is different on your end. Are you working with a custom board?

This link shows how to run the Hello World example in DFU. It shows the jumpers that need to be set.

When I run the dfu-util, I do not get a response from the AM64x.

So, I think it probably has something to do with the USB driver. Hence the original question.

I could not find any mention of jumper in the documentation. Could you please share snap of the relevant section discussing the setup? If you could also share the picture of your board setup that would be very helpful.

I have gone through each reply of yours and really do not see any mention of jumpers in the documentation. Maybe you are talking about the bootmode pins. If you could share the picture of your board setup, it will all be clear.

This snap only talks about setting the bootmode pins to DFU. Have you made sure the micro USB cable is connected to the port just next to the Ethernet ports as shown in the red box

If you could please share the picture of your board setup, we could then confirm if everything is in place at least on the board.
