Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SK-AM62B-P1
Hi TI,
I found AM62x didn`t support OTG function as shown in TRM.
I`d like to know whether all of two USB didn`t support OTG?

Hello Cayden
Thank you for the query.

I assume you meant USB0 and USB1. This is correct. Both USBs do not support OTG.

BTW, could USB0 and USB1 support OTG if customer code driver files by themselves?

Hello Cayden
Thank you
Please refer the schematics review checklist. The link is available in the below FAQ.
7.3.2 Universal Serial Bus (USB2.0)
The processor provides 2 X USB2.0 interfaces that can be configured as host or device or DRD (Dual-Role
Device).
USBn_VBUS (n=0..1) is recommended to be connected in accordance with the USB Design Guidelines
section of the device-specific data sheet. The supply voltage range for the USBn_VBUS pins is defined in
the Recommended Operating Conditions section of the device-specific data sheet. The nominal voltage value
applied is equal to the resistor divider output when VBUS supply voltage level is 5 V.
USBn_ID functionality is supported via any of the processor GPIO.

Hi Cayden,

Do you really mean to the true OTG protocols? What is the USB usecase?
For more than a decade I haven't hear any customer using OTG protocols on any TI processor.
Hi Bin, Sreenivasa,
So sorry. I have confirmd with customer this morning. Customer requirements as following:
It operates in slave mode when there are no USB equipment inserted. When a U disk (or other USB equipment) is inserted, it automatically switches to master mode.
Could DRD mode achieve this function?

Yes, this is supported. Please refer to the design of the USB0 port on SK-AM62B-P1 EVM.
