TDA4VM: Using MMC2 for SDIO (Wi-Fi) and PCIe simultaneously

Part Number: TDA4VM

Team,

A customer of mine is using a Wi-Fi module on MMC2, but they have issues to get it working without pulling MMC2_SDCD (pin W2) low. They are using PCIe as well, where pin W2 is used as PCIE0_CLRREQn.

In the related e2e thread it’s mentioned that this was an issue in SDK 8.0, but should be fixed in 8.4. My customer is using SDK 09.01.00.06 and it looks like the issue is still present, it is not possible to run MMC2 without CD (ball W2) driven to low.

Also the datasheet is quite clear (page 112):  MMC2_SDCD … “For MMC2 module to work properly, the MMC2_SDCD pin should be pulled low.”

So is there any possibility to use MMC2 in SDIO mode and PCIe (PCIE0_CLRREQn) simultaneously?

Thanks,
  Robert
